The adventure
Our love story
At the age of 10 & 8 we met through the friendship of his stepmother and my mother in Mobile, AL. It’s lovely to think that what started as a simple acquaintance blossomed into a lifelong friendship.
After moving back to Alabama in 2016, I took LaQwandra, who I used to go to church with as a kid, on a date to see a Tyler Perry movie. Eight years later, we're still together!
On a beautiful evening, I took LaQwandra outside and we started planting stuff in our garden and I walked inside to get the beautiful ring. Then, with a heart full of love, I got down on one knee, presented the ring I knew she would love, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with me. She said yes, and it was the happiest moment of our lives.
